MotoGP: Valentino Rossi on track at Valencia: testing with WRT Team's Audi R8 GT3

Valentino Rossi is currently testing around the track in Valencia with the car that he might use in races in 2022. After retiring from MotoGP, the Doctor has always said that he would continue his career on the track by switching from two to four wheels. The GT3 programme is the one that best suits his needs and his desire to test himself in the famous Le Mans 24 Hours.

The colleagues at AutoHebdo have today published this first shot of the Audi R8 LM GT3 in which Rossi is driving around the track, already heavily branded with colours and graphics in full VR46 style. The team that is making this car available to him for testing and presumably for a race programme in 2022, is the Belgian WRT team. A partnership that could be very interesting for Valentino, as the team is involved in both GT3 and prototypes with two LMP2s.

More photos from the test and perhaps a statement from Valentino should arrive in the evening.
