MotoGP: Ducati tries to win over Quartararo with a... Lamborghini

They race in the MotoGP, but they prefer cars for their everyday ride. It’s the (sad) reality of motorcycling champions. Some, like Fabio Quartararo, don’t even have a license to ride motorcycles on roads.

So it’s no wonder that the newcomer, who already owns a BMW M2 CS (which he won last year but gave to his dad) and an M5 CS (which he won this year) is thinking of getting a special Christmas present.

When he was interviewed on the last day at Eicma, “El Diablo” confessed to having bought an Italian car. A Ferrari? No, a SUV. Namely, a 650 hp Lamborghini Urus.

There were those who obviously thought it was a way to ensnare the newly titled French rider, since Lamborghini is part of the Audi Group, which also owns  Ducati.

Fabio did, in fact, say he had started to shop around, along with his manager, Eric Mahe  (our interview HERE).

Remember that Mahe had tried to propose Fabio to Ducati, and they were rather iffy about it. But maybe they’ve changed their minds in Borgo Panigale.

After all, to win the World Championship – which hasn’t happened since 2007 – besides making the best bike, they could also try to engage the best of their opponents and, right now, there are only three: Marc Marquez, Joan Mir and, of course, Fabio Quartararo.
