SBK: Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup races at Mandalika rescheduled

The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup races set to take place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit on Sunday the 14th of November have been rescheduled to take place next weekend.

Dorna Sports, together with Mandalika Grand Prix Association, can therefore confirm that the ATC season finale will comprise four races and take place from the 19th to the 21st of November, alongside WorldSBK.

The first ATC round at Mandalika was planned in order to allow the new circuit to test its facilities and track services. Challenges in the Sporting Organisation have been identified and are now being addressed in order to ensure the safety of the riders once racing gets underway.

In short, something didn't work in the organization or in the structure of the track in terms of safety. Definitely not the best viaticum for the Superbike World Championship that will take place next weekend, but there you go, the cat in the bag does the blind cat.

The SBK circus, however, will arrive at the circuit only on Wednesday, since two days of quarantine in an airport hotel are mandatory after the PCR test to enter Indonesia. We are curious to know the impressions of Rea and Razgatlioglu, who will play there the world championship.
