MotoGP: Pol Espargarò: excluding fractures, decision tomorrow if he’ll race in Valencia

Pol Espargarò was involved in a bad highside during the FP3 in Valencia this morning when exiting Turn 13. He was taken to the hospital to rule out any serious injuries. The tests revealed severe bruises, especially on the right side of his chest and abdomen.

The Honda rider will remain in the hospital tonight, and his condition will be assessed tomorrow morning, when they’ll decide whether he can continue to participate in the Grand Prix.

Unfortunately, I  was in a very big accident today during the FP3 at turn thirteen,” Pol stated. “The impact was very hard but, fortunately, I have no serious injuries and nothing broken appeared in the tests we did in the hospital. I currently have a lot of pain in my ribs when I breathe. That’s where it hurts the most. I’m really disappointed, because I was fast and felt very confident. I’m feel bad for my team. I’ll rest tonight, take some painkillers, and see what the situation is tomorrow morning.
