During the first MotoGP free practice session at Portimao, a new TV camera made its debut, mounted directly on the rider's left shoulder. The first to have it was Alex Rins who thus gave all the TV spectators a view from on board his Suzuki.

The footage is very interesting, not only because the point of view is very similar to that of the rider, but also because you can clearly see all his hand movements. Particularly interesting is the use of the now indispensable 'lowering device' in acceleration, on the GSX-RR operated with the thumb from the left hand.

The experiment worked well and now we are curious to see this camera in action in a good battle.
