The Aragon round of the 2021 MotoGP World Championship undoubtedly offered a great show, with the duel at the end of the race between Bagnaia and Marquez bringing to mind the old duels between the Spaniard and Bagnaia. Carlo Pernat commented the race for us, as always, in front of a bottle of Prosecco DOC.

There were many topics offered by the race in addition to the duel between Marc and Pecco, including the collapse of Quartararo and especially of the Yamaha. Then there was Vinales' debut on Aprilia, which was perhaps too early according to Pernat. Now it will be curious to see what Dovizioso and Rossi will be able to do together, as they will be by far the 'oldest' couple in the paddock at Misano.

"The Grand Prix in which Bagnaia finally brought home a wonderful victory - said Pernat - brought home after fighting with a real Marquez, even if not the one we were used to seeing. But by now he is coming back. It was clear from the tests, even in the warm up we saw that Marc preferred to rest, doing a few laps. He's being smart in the best sense of the word.

The battle was very nice, remembering those with Dovi. Marc is not yet at 100%, as we have seen also for the mistake he made. The world championship has reopened a bit, Bagnaia has taken over the Ducati and is the top man at Borgo Panigale. Now it will be even better to see the Grand Prix coming, also because the Yamaha did not go as it should have gone and the tires had nothing to do with it. Ducati went strong on a circuit that has never gone very well in the past."
