MotoGP, OFFICIAL - Viñales on the Aprilia for tests at Misano August 31st

Aprilia has officially announced Maverick Viñales’ debut on the RS-GP in Misano Adriatico. The first time together for the Spanish rider and the Italian team is scheduled for two days of testing on August 31st and September 1st.

This is the start of Maverick’s journey with Aprilia that will last throughout the 2022 season. A gradual approach into an extraordinary championship like the modern MotoGP.

Romano Albesiano, Aprilia’s technical director, commented: “From a technical aspecyt it’s always fascinating to hear the impressions of a rider who gets on your bike for the first time, especially since it’s a champion like Maverick, whom we're pleased to welcome into the Aprilia Racing family. After the great work brought to the track by the racing department in the last two years, we add yet another piece to the development we’re undertaking with encouraging results. Clearly, the first approach involves a very practical phase of adaptation, in terms of ergonomics and preferences,which we know vary for each rider. But I’m sure Maverick’s talent and speed will quickly emerge,  and I can’t wait to start working together.”
