MotoGP, Oliveira without traction control: "We'll see if I can race"

VIDEO - The Portuguese rider was thrown from his KTM: "Before landing, I violently hit my hand against the handlebars"

MotoGP: Oliveira without traction control:

The weekend at the Red Bull Ring didn't start in the best of ways for Miguel Oliveira. The KTM rider was thrown from his bike at the end of the FP1 at Turn 3. The check-up at the medical center ruled out any fractures, but Miguel preferred not to participate in the second free practice session.

First of all, I'm disappointed and really sorry for the start of the weekend,” he explained. “During the first session, the brake lever ended up being very close to the handlebars, and I couldn't stop the bike, so I entered the pits a couple of times to figure out what was happening, and to try to improve my performance. I went out again and went a little wide at turn three. When I opened the throttle off the line, the traction control didn't work. I spun in the air and, before landing, I think the handlebars hit my hand. That's the thing that hurt the most. We removed any doubt about further injuries to see if we can continue and see what we can do.
