The glass, as always, can be seen as half full or half empty. Ducati, in fact, has arrived at the summer break with three riders in the top four of the championship, but none of them are in the lead. Davide Tardozzi, interviewed by motogp.com, is hanging on the side of optimism in the balance sheet for this first half of the season.

"We are looking forward to Pecco's first victory, he went close in some races but he was also unlucky. Jack, on the other hand, had a difficult start to the season, but he was smart and winning two races put him in a good position. Our worst races have been in two circuits that we like, like Qatar and Mugello, somehow it's fun" he took it philosophically.

More importantly, the Desmosedici seems to have made peace with the new rear tire introduced by Michelin last year which caused so much trouble.

"I am personally very happy with the work of the engineers because they understood very well the problems we had with the tires last year - Tardozzi added - In the winter they worked well and gave the riders something different, I think the problem was partially resolved. We will also have something new coming for the last part of the season. We hope for a bit of sunshine on us to fight for the championship until the last race ".

The team manager also recognized the merits of his riders, because it is no coincidence that four of them have got on the podium this year.

“The riding style of Zarco, Miller, Bagnaia, but also that of Martin, helps a lot to limit the disadvantages of the weak points of our bike,” he explained.
