MotoGP: Puig: "There was not one positive point to be found for Honda in Barcelona"

If just a couple of years ago someone had said that Honda would be on the point of entering the concession phase because of a lack of podiums, they would have been taken as mad. But sometimes reality surpasses fantasy and you have to stare it in the face. This is what Alberto Puig is trying to do, a man who knows fully well he cannot hide behind circumstantial comments.

“From a performance point of view, there is not a positive point to be found he admitted after the Barcelona GP - All we can say is that HRC and the team are 100% invested in solving these issues and trying to find and create solutions for our riders. If we speak about the crashes themselves, then the positive point is that both riders were unharmed in the falls.”

At this point at HRC they need to roll up their sleeves…

“Honda HRC never looks for excuses and nor do their riders – underlined the Spanish team manager - There is a problem, we need to solve it and we are working to fix it.”

The next GP in Germany could give some hope…

“Right now, the priority is to fix the problems. Sachsenring is a track where our riders have always been fast, especially Marc. We all know his speed there. But at this moment, we do not have the perfect circumstances to make a big step between races. In any case, of course, we will try.”
