The Yamaha R7, here she is! The photos leaked online by the Motorplus Online site show us the latest creation of the Iwata manufacturer. A highly anticipated bike that will be officially unveiled next week. But ... you know, when online all you need is a moment’s hesitation and immediately the press is unleashed, us first of all!
Will it be a direct rival of the Aprilia RS660? Well, it will all depend on horsepower and price. The Italian bike has 100, and costs 11,050 euros, how does the Japanese bike shape up against these data? Looking at the photos, we can see an upside-down fork and radial calipers like on the Noale bike, the brake pump is radial. We can then notice an aesthetic feature that evokes the other "R" from Yamaha. Edges, taut lines, and that blue colour that distinguishes it among all.
The official presentation will be on 18 May 2021, next Tuesday, but now the cards have been revealed, there is little that can be done. The big difference for this front-facing twin will therefore be the horsepower and the price. In Aprilia they have already been trembling for several days, because Yamaha will have to, at least with the price, stay below 11,000 euros to be competitive.
