99 seconds, namely, Jorge Lorenzo’s new YouTube channel. In the latest video he posted, the rider from Mallorca wanted to reveal something about the 2013 Jerez GP, when he made contact on the last lap with Marc, who gave #93 his second place.

A maneuver very similar to the one with which Rossi got the better of Sete Gibernau years earlier.

The fact is that, with regard to what happened, the post-race was nothing short of heated, so much so that Jorge didn’t want to shake Marc’s hand, and also asked for a penalty for him at the press conference. And, as if that weren’t enough, #99 added insult to injury: “When we were at the Jerez airport, there was half a paddock waiting for the flight to Barcelona, including Marc with Alzamora and Santi Hernandez,” Lorenzo recalled. “I was by myself, and I wanted to wait to get on the plane last. The moment I did, and I got on, I saw that my seat number was in the same row as Marc’s. At that point, Santi Hernandez sat between us to act as a barrier, as if we were in the days of Yamaha.

Like Jorge explained, the flight was tension-filled: “The mood was tense and, as soon as we landed, I looked at Marc, and to intimidate him I said: ‘Are you ready for the next race?’ He didn’t answer me.” It didn’t end here: “I know it sounds strange, but I ended up again with Marc in the same row I was sitting in ten days later when we were due to go to France for the Le Mans GP. Incredible, because, on a flight of three-hundred people, I should have had some members of the Yamaha team close by but, instead, Marc was there.”
