Today Marc Marquez will officially return to the MotoGP paddock in Portimao after a very long absence. The Honda rider will be the protagonist of the opening day’s press conference (which will start at 6 pm Italian time) but, intercepted by the cameras of TVE, he has already expressed his first thoughts before returning to the track.

“The most important step in my recovery is to get back to racing and I will do it this weekend in Portimao - he declared - It will be a constant progression, at least I hope so, I really want to get back on the bike. I also have butterflies in my stomach because after nine months it will be hard, we will have to be patient ”.

Marquez didn’t want to set any goals for this weekend.

“To think of winning, a result or the championship would be a mistake, this is simply one step forward in my recovery. The arm is not yet 100% at the muscular level, it will take time and I hope it will be as short as possible” he concluded.
