After the first timid steps, often documented on social media, Marc Marquez decided to raise the bar. Having received the OK from his doctors to push his right arm to the limit, Marc quickly switched from a bicycle to a minimoto, and then straight onto the closest thing to a MotoGP bike, the Honda RCV213 S, the road version of the bike that won him titles on the track, beating Lorenzo, Rossi and Dovizioso.

The first video published this morning only documented Marc's entrance to the track, while in this second video there is also a lot of action on the track. It's great to see Santi Hernandez, Marquez's long-time chief engineer, at the race wall taking lap times, almost as if it were an official practice session. Between riding the Honda V4 to the limit on the straight and the fast changes of direction in Barcelona, the images certainly look like the perfect appetizer for what we will see in Qatar.

It's hard to imagine Marc not being present in FP1 of the inaugural Grand Prix. He wanted to be there and by now we are almost certain that he will be. We can't, looking only at these images, understand what the sensations were. But knowing the Spaniard's determination, it's hard to believe after watching this video that he hasn't already decided to show up at Losail to claim the title.
