News: Valencia Tests: Moto2 and Moto3 on the track in memory of Fausto Gresini

The Moto2 and Moto3 are on the track in Valencia for a day of testing following Fausto Gresini’s death. His team is in action with the minimum displacement category and the duo formed by Alcoba and Rodrigo, and with the Di Giannantonio-Bulega duo in the intermediate class.

A test that is in some way surreal, at a time that is anything but simple for the Italian team and the entire paddock of the MotoGP. Just this morning, at 10am, the teams participating in the two-day tests in Spain met on the starting straight to observe a minute of silence in memory of Fausto.

There are several teams present in Valencia for this first 2021 session. The list includes the Sky Racing Team VR46 with Bezzecchi and Vietti, as well as the Squadra Corse SIC58 with Suzuki and Fellon, and Sniper with Salac and Migno. To complete the Intact-GP list are Tony Arbolino and Sam Lowes with a road Yamaha.

As mentioned, the start of the session was at 10 am this morning, preceded by a minute of silence with riders who, at the end, turned on their engines as a salute to Fausto. The end of the day is scheduled for 5 pm, without a break. Tomorrow they’ll be back on track again for the second and final day.
