Fausto Gresini continues his challenge for life against COVID at the Ospedale Maggiore Carlo Alberto Pizzardi in Bologna, where he has been hospitalized since late December 2020. It's just a few minutes ago the latest update regarding the health conditions of the former rider.
A new update on the conditions of Fausto Gresini, who is still hospitalised in the intensive care unit of Bologna’s ‘Carlo Alberto Pizzardi’ hospital.
Here is today’s s statement by Dr Nicola Cilloni: “Fausto Gresini is still hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Bologna’s Maggiore Hospital due to a persisting severe respiratory insufficiency following a COVID-19 infection. Unfortunately, complications have occurred, which made the current clinical picture critical. The hospital staff are continuing the treatment with the highest-possible intensity, with the hope of a recovery of the organ functionality – which has been severely compromised. He is still supported by a mechanical respirator and in a medically-induced coma.”
