Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia are ready. It’s almost time to officially immortalized them on their Ducati GP21s, the bikes they’ll be racing with this season as they try to win back the title for Borgo Panigale. An undertaking that Andrea Dovizioso almost succeeded in between 2017 and 2019, but that has only been accomplished to date by Casey Stoner in a distant 2007.
Ducati has changed a lot since that season, on and off the track, but the passion surrounding the Borgo Panigale company is still the same. Pecco Bagnaia knows this passion really well, since he grew up with it in his family.
“I always had a Ducati in my family growing up,” Pecco recalled as he walked around with Davide Tardozzi in the Ducati museum. “As a rider, my dream had always been to get to the MotoGP on a Ducati, and I was lucky enough to get there with the factory team, so it’s the best I could ask for.”
Maybe a bit less excited, but equally eager to start his own adventure as a top rider on the Rossa, is his partner Jack Miller: “It’s a new year, and also a new racing season. Like me, they’re all ready to start.”
