The Avintia team kicked off the year with a live streaming presentation on Instagram which, fortunately, does not award any points for the championship. There was a long wait to see the colours of Bastianini and Marini's Ducati Desmosedici, but unfortunately technology was not particularly friendly on this occasion.
The important thing, however, was being able to take a first look at the bikes and their riders.
Luca's Ducati had already been unveiled on the X-Factor TV show and has Sky and VR46 logos on the fairings, while Enea's is new, with Avintia's blue livery.
The two riders will have to wait until March 5 to try the bikes for the first time but they are already pretty raring to go.
“I'm very happy to be here, it's my first year in MotoGP, with Ducati and with this team, it's incredible - said Bastianini - It's always been my dream to be here and I can't wait to start, we'll see if we can fight for important positions ".
Marini also can't wait to get on the Ducati Desmosedici: "Being in MotoGP is incredible, I'm training a lot to be ready for the first race".
The Avintia team will also be in Moto3 with Antonelli and Tatay.
“I'm in a great team and I have a great opportunity to try and do well, I'm sure I'll be able to work in harmony with Carlos” said Niccolò.
Also present were André Pire and Xavi Cardelus who will race in MotoE for the Andorra-based team.
