World championship riders have always been attracted to the “dark side” of two wheels... the off-road. Not only when training, but also to savor that adrenaline when their MotoGP bikes are put to rest for the winter.

In the past, Marc Marquez never disdained to participate in several motocross races. Dovizioso did the same in the summer, ending up in the starting blocks of the Italian Championship. Now it’s Danilo Petrucci’s turn to put himself to the test with the Motorally, and he’ll be doing it in Rally Sardegna.

The rider from Terni is a great motorcross and enduro fan and will have his hands full when he’ll have to prove that he knows how to handle a compass.

Over 100 centaurs will be present in Sardinia where the 2nd Raid TT round and the 7th and 8th round of the Italian Motorally Championship will take place December 6th to 8th. Those taking part are already heading to Olbia (SS) and, in the early afternoon of Saturday December 5th,  all the usual technical and administrative preliminaries will take place. There will be three days of off-roading with six selective sectors that will cover a territory of seventeen municipalities and over 670 kilometers to cover. This is the program created ad hoc by the staff of the hosting motorcycle club, which never stopped frenetically working, put to the test by the Covid-19 emergency.
