19 points from the top of the world championship Maverick Vinales is still in contention for the title but at Valencia as at Aragon the Yamaha rider will be forced to reduce his exits on the track to a trickle. The reason: his last two engines are at the limit of their mileage.

"I'm on a razor's edge, struggling with the engines - said Yamaha’s Top Gun - At Aragon I only did a few laps in practice, just to avoid using them. So, in that way, I was unable to set up the bike perfectly in the second race, when the track and the asphalt were decidedly different from the first race ".

As is well known, Yamaha has been penalized for having infringed the regulation regarding the replacement of defective valves, even if no details have been provided in this regard.

"We paid a lot for this strategy by having a bad race - continued Vinales - but we will try to do the same thing in Valencia, with few laps in free practice and trying to arrive at a set-up in the short time I am on track. I will spend a lot of time in the pits, as already happened in Aragon ", concluded Rossi's teammate.

It’s a really bad moment for the manufacturer that has won more than any other in this world championship: no less than six Grands Prix.
