Another Covid case in the paddock: Bertelle, Rookies Cup rider

Cracks are beginning to emerge in the bubble of the MotoGP paddock. As reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Matteo Bertelle, the Italian rider in the Rookies Cup, was found positive for coronavirus and yesterday did not take part in the first race scheduled at the Red Bull Ring.

The 16-year-old from Padua had raced with Paolo Simoncelli's team in the Italian and Spanish championships before arriving in the championship created for young talents.

This is the second case of Covid-19 in the paddock, the first was a cameraman who was quarantined during the Brno Grand Prix in the Czech Republic.
