The Misano circuit opens to the public for two Grand Prixs in September. President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini signed the first waiver that will allow the circuit to exceed its limit of 1,000 spectators, as provided for by a previous decree issued for anti-Covid measures.

The region's website states: "Following an investigation carried out by the General Directorate of Personal Care, Health, and Welfare, the region has assessed that the organizers (Santa Monica di Misano Adriatico) have, in compliance with current regulations, worked towards preparing various scenarios on the turnout of spectators at the Misano World Circuit, with particular attention given to protocol, ensuring that it will be strictly applied, in view of the two important events: the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix (September 11th-13th, 2020) and the Emilia-Romagna and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix (September 18th-20th, 2020).”

This means that, for theses two races, 10,000 people will be able to access the stands per day (the overall capacity under normal conditions is 40,000), but the lawn area will not be accessible.

The organizer will have to, however, keep the lists of spectators that were present for 14 days so, if necessary,  they can be available for contact-tracing procedures.
