MotoGP, Taramasso: "some Rossi's tyre problems are caused by his riding style"

The Michelin manager: "Valentino leans out of the bike less than the other riders and therefore stresses the tyre more on the outside"

MotoGP: Taramasso:

Valentino Rossi is still unable to manage to deal with the problems with the rear tyre that have been afflicting him for a few years now. The Doctor complains about a drop in grip, which limits acceleration and logically also his final times. Not even the new tyre brought by Michelin has improved the situation.

Piero Taramasso, the race manager for the French tyre manufacturer, spoke to Sky about the issue.

"It is no secret that Valentino has this problem, it is long-standing - he explained - Rossi has a particular riding style, he leans less from the bike than the other riders, for this reason he stresses the tyre more on the outermost part and therefore the tyre temperature rises. I am sure, however, that he will be able to solve this issue ”.
