In the next few hours, the agreement will be defined and officially announced, tests in view of August next week

SBK: Marco Melandri racing with Barni's Ducati V4 in Jerez

At this point, all we're waiting for is the announcement. That's right. After separating from Leon Camier, the Barni team decided to start over with Marco Melandri. Like we had just recently anticipated, it's going to be the rider from Ravenna's turn to get on the Panigale V4 in Jerez, scheduled for August 1st-2nd.

There were lots of names mentioned these past few weeks when it came to Ducati. Among those was Randy Krummenacher's and also Lorenzo Zanetti's and Matteo Ferrari's. The Swiss rider was in pole, but because of contract issues with MV Agusta, Barnabò had to choose someone else, namely Marco Melandri.

The last image we have of Melandri on the track dates back to last October, during the Qatar round, and we'll be seeing him again soon, two weeks from now in Jerez. During the next few days, Marco will do a prep test and then fly to Spain. Everyone is definitiely waiting to see #33 on a track where he was able to get on the podium last year.
