MotoGP, Porcellini: "I think Dovizioso will be able to race in Jerez"

Optimistic after surgery: "From a clinical point of view, his condition is excellent, we've already planned a cycle of physical therapy"

MotoGP: Porcellini:

Professor Giuseppe Porcellini gave the good news when speaking to Sky regarding the outcome of Andrea Dovizioso's surgery yesterday evening after he fractured his shoulder in a regional cross race in Faenza.

"He arrived with a medial-end clavicle compound fracture. We reduced it, and put a plate to stabilize it," the doctor explained. "Now he'll have to be quick and get back on the bike immediately. Clinically speaking, his conditions are excellent."

The prediction is that Dovi can resume training in a couple of days.

"We've already planned a cycle of physical therapy with Fabrizio Borra," the doctor confirmed.

Will Andrea be able to race on July 19th in Jerez?

We'll try. Medicine isn't an exact science. In the operating room, he told me that he raced after 21 days last time. From a muscular point of view, he'll make it. Motorcyclists have an edge on others, so I think he'll be able to," said Porcellini.
