Let's meet on the track! That's what comes to mind. If last week some riders from the Emilia Romagna region were able to get on the Misano track, it was the Spanish riders who had their turn this time. In fact, Ana Carrasco, along with Gabriel Rodrigo and Alex Rins used Friday to ride in Barcelona.
It was a chance to get back on a bike and, at the same time, start pursuing the stopwatch for when the Superbike and MotoGP will raise the racing curtain. As we all know, this year Barcelona will be a stage for the derivatives and, consequently, the Kawasaki rider wanted to take advantage of this opportunity, while still following all required safety rules.
So here she is in the garage, along with the mechanics, wearing a mask: “I'm quite happy," she said. "It's been a long time since I rode a bike, but the sensations were good from the start. It's nice being back on track."
For the occasion, Ana rode the Ninja 400, reaching a total of 35 laps: “I feel really good," she added. "To be honest, I thought it was more difficult after almost three months of inactivity. I tried to stay in shape for three months to then be ready for this moment, so I could get back on the bike today. The most important thing was to pick up the pace and improve, lap after lap."
