After returning for a few days on a motorbike in cross and flat track, Valentino Rossi is preparing to savor the joys of racing on asphalt, and he'll soon be in Misano for a day of testing with the other riders from the VR46 Riders Academy.

With the start of Phase 2 in Italy, professional riders are now less restricted and, today, the Misano circuit announced that national riders, approved by the FMI, from outside of the Emilia Romagna region, can also participate in free practice sessions. This news is a green light for the Doctor, who lives a few kilometers from the racetrack but in the Marche region.

Valentino is organizing his first Misano test these days, after he wasn't given the chance to participate during the test day at the Red Bull Ring last week because, on his return from Austria, he would have had to quarantine for 14 days (as Maio Meregalli explained to us).

This upcoming weekend, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th, two days of free practice are scheduled on the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli, but these are not the days Rossi will be on the track.

He will be there with the other Academy riders, but the date is absolutely confidential, also to avoid crowds of fans at a time when safety is a priority.
