From Valencia to Valencia. Scott Redding had already ridden at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in mid-November with the test team in the first round of the Ducati Panigale V4 in a Superbike configuration, different from the one he had won the BSB a few days earlier, especially in the electronic field.
Today, almost three months later, the British rider returned to the Panigale at Valencia (after various pre-season tests including Jerez and Portimao) but the bike's configuration was not the November one, but the road one.
An exceptional "technician", Claudio Domenicali, who on Twitter shared Redding's super time with the V4 road bike: 1.34.5, just 4 and a half seconds off the pole position of Fabio Quartararo's MotoGP. A crazy time if you think that the only changes to the road bike were: the removal of mirrors, slick tyres and some changes to the rear spring and trim.
