2020 will be an important year for Valentino Rossi, since the 9-time World Champion's contract with Yamaha will expire at the end of the year.

After his remarkable performance at the Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi, the forty-year-old Italian made a stop in Mexico, where he spent Christmas and two weeks on vacation with his fiancée, Francesca Sofia Novello.

After the holidays, Vale will focus on the next MotoGP World Championship, which will be back in action on February 7th,  in Sepang, Malaysia, where testers will start riding on the 2nd. That’s when we’ll find out if Jorge Lorenzo will be among them to help resurrect Iwata's team.

Vale will have his new Spanish team leader in the garage, David Munoz and, starting from the very first tests, the rider from Pesaro will have to figure out whether he wants to continue or stop, because the Japanese company will certainly not be able to wait too long to decide on the team for the next two years - 2021-22 - since Maverick Vinales and Fabio Quartararo are in Ducati’s crosshairs.
