They have taken 'fire and brimstone' a little too literally in Ducati, Michele Pirro's Desmosedici actually catching light during today's first free practice. As the flames licked the underside of his GP19, the Italian was left with no choice but to head to the run-off area and abandon his bike.

The marshals quickly put out the flames with their extinguishers. Michele was unhurt and able to return to the garage and continue the session using his second bike.
