Australia is his homeland, so he couldn't miss out on the podium in his home GP. We're obviously talking about Jack Miller who, thanks to Maverick Vinales' help, took third place at Phillip Island behind Marquez's and Crutchlow's Honda.

A result that gives the Pramac rider confidence and satisfaction, and he'll surely be celebrating his performance. We're familiar with Miller's style and, during the conference, he didn't miss out on throwing a jab at Lorenzo.

This is how it went. Marquez, who sat by his side, was asked what he thought of Zarco's performance. As soon as he gave his opinion, Jack intervened, although no one asked for his opinion. "He did better than Lorenzo."

Best to talk about the race.

"When I got to turn nine and saw all that dust rising, my heart started beating fast," Jack began. "Seeing Vinales out of the game, I started to realize I was third. So I tried to push hard to get to the finish line without anyone bothering me at the last minute. I'm sorry for Maverick, since he fell, and when that happens to a rider, you're never happy. At the same time, I'm satisfied for this podium in my home race."

Phillip Island was certainly a hard fought race.

"What can I say. At the beginning, Valentino started off really fast and managed to create a nice gap. But his advantage lasted only a few laps, since the group caught up with him. I instead tried to be cautious. I used the same tire Petrucci fell with. In fact, I knew it was better to avoid risks and wait for the tire to allow me to have the right confidence."

Then the passes and counter-attacks dominated the scene.

“When I attached myself to Dovizioso, I realized that it was the right train I had to follow to aim for the podium. So I tried to make room for myself and keep up with them. On the second to last lap, he passed me, but his rear tire was done, and he almost had a high-side. Then Bagnaia also caught up. He was battling it out with us. I didn't think he would get to the podium until the last lap. I thought his pace would decrease after just a few laps, but he resisted. I said to myself: 'I can't lose against my team mate in the home race, so I resisted, taking a third place home, even if I almost got screwed."
