MotoGP: Rossi and Galbusera towards their farewells, Munoz is on his way

Valentino Rossi's and Silvano Galbusera's paths seem destined to split at the end of the season. Rumors have been going around in the paddock that the Doctor would like to change his crew chief, even if he's always skirted the issue.

But his colleague, Mela Chércoles, from the pages of AS in Thailand, mentioned that David Munoz would be Valentino's new crew chief. Actually, crew "chef" would also be fitting, since the technician has the same name of a very famous Spanish chef. All kidding aside, Rossi is looking for a breakthrough in the pit-box and Munoz could be the right person.

David is currently the head technician for Bulega in the Sky Racing Team and was Pecco Bagnaia's last year, when he won the title in Moto2.

He has also worked with Alex Rins and Maverick Vinales in the past.

It wouldn't be the first time that Valentino has picked from the VR46 team. Last year it was coach Idalio Gavira after Cadalora decided not to continue in his role.

It seems like there's something not working perfectly in the Doctor's pit-box, and the proof lies in the difficulties they had in the last few races, right when Yamaha became competitive again. Rossi has struggled to achieve the same results as the other Yamaha members and wants a change.

He already did so in 2014 when he chose to focus on Galbusera, putting an end to his long (and victorious) relationship with Jeremy Burgess.

Rossi will confirm the news during the press conference in Buriram, which will begin at 12 pm, Italian time.
