As we predicted one month ago, Lorenzo Dalla Porta will leave Moto3 to move to Moto2 with team Italtrans next season. The Italian squad confirmed it has come to an agreement with the current Moto3 series leader.
Lorenzo will have a two-year contract and will pair with Enea Bastianini to form an all-Italian side.
“I'm really pleased to have the opportunity to become part of the Italtrans Racing Team - said Dalla Porta - It is one of the Moto2 teams of reference and to be able to move up with them is really exciting. I hope for an important year in which I can bring home some good results. Sincere thanks to the entire team for their support”.
Laura Bertulessi, team owner, added: “Lorenzo is a young and talented rider. We are pleased to have him join the family and believe that his talent and continuous growth will allow the team and him to achieve significant results. This pairing brings added value to the team one year after we began the project with Enea, who is currently the best rookie in the category and has already scored a fantastic podium. I am sure that Lorenzo will follow in his footsteps and that we will achieve big things together”.
