MotoGP, Quartararo: "I'm pleased, I have no pain following the surgery”

MotoGP: Quartararo: "I'm pleased, I have no pain following the surgery”

One thing is certain, the summer break has done nothing to quell the Devil's fury. Fabio Quartararo is no longer a surprise, the results he's scored thus far speaking for themselves, and marking him as one of the most interesting talents, present and future. The rider has once again started with the right foot at Brno. After a complicated morning session, the young Frenchman set the quickest time in the second session.

“Today was a positive day - he begins - despite a few problems with the tyres. This morning I barely changed tyre, while this afternoon I tried the hard and got on well, before putting in the soft for the time attack".

The tyre topic proved key for Fabio today, also in light of the race of course.

“Tomorrow we'll have to choose the right compound with which to work for the race, I hope to do that with a race simulation during FP3. I found both the hard and medium compounds dropped off after a few laps, and I felt a real difference when I put in the soft, much bigger than usual. we need to understand whether the soft is an option for the race, as the other two have given us some difficulty up until now.

Aside from the tyres, there are also the potholes.

"They're not everywhere, but when you go over them you really feel it, especially in the change of direction between 11 and 12. You need to be perfect to not get into trouble, I was really careful on my flying lap. It's like that for everyone anyway, and I need to get used to it as quickly as possible”.

A situation that didn't exactly limit #20, who also appears to be over his arm problems.

“i'm also 100% physically speaking now. I usually feel a little pain in FP1, on a new bike at a different track but this time this wasn't the case and so I'm pleased”.

Fabio's thoughts turn to qualifying, and his main goal.

“Being on the front two rows would be a great result, particularly at this track where it's not easy to pass”.
