The main objective was to access the Q2 and, this time, Jack Miller did not betray expectations. After the performance in FP3 on Saturday morning, the Pramac rider closed the afternoon qualifying with the fifth time trial, ahead of Cal Crutchlow's Honda. So, he'll be starting from the second row with Franco Morbidelli to his left.

"I'm satisfied with this second day, both for the race pace, but also for the qualifying lap, since I rode alone on the track ," began the Australian rider. "Tomorrow it will be important to make the right assessments for the race, especially for the tires. Today, I worked with the soft, which gave me better sensations than the hard, even if this one is not so bad."

Jack's attention then shifts to the episode that captured all the spotlight on Saturday afternoon, that is, Marquez's pole in Dovizioso's wake.

"I prefer to concentrate on myself, also because there are so many leeches on the track ," he commented." I honestly don't know how to take advantage of the slipstream. I have always found myself alone on the track. Apart from that, I have to keep my mind on the race and understand what the track conditions will be, given that the temperature could rise.”

The last topic is on Morbidelli's and Quartararo's performances.

"In qualifying, they proved to be strong, so I'm not surprised by their results. Here at Mugello, Yamaha may be struggling in terms of top speed, but they were strong, even if I don't know whether they used the slipstream or not. The thing I know is that Ducati is competitive and tomorrow we'll have to ride a smart race, since we have a great opportunity to seize."
