After having raced in Austin instead of Fernandez on the Pons team’s Kalex and in Jerez on Angel Nieto team’s KTM replacing Dixon, Mattia Pasini will also be riding in the Le Mans GP. The rider from Romagna will be on the Petronas team’s Kalex.

Pawi, in fact, had to undergo a very complex operation in Barcelona after the fall he took during the practice sessions at the Spanish Grand Prix. The rider from Malaysia fractured the pinky finger of his right hand in three places with bone, skin, and tendon loss. Dr. Mir and his staff had to take bone from the pilot’s elbow to implant it on his finger.

Pawi’s recovery time is not yet known, but he certainly won’t be able to race in France. This will be another chance for Pasini to ride after he unfortunately crashed during the race in Jerez.
