Andrea Iannone will not race in Jerez. The Aprilia rider fell yesterday at Turn 11 during FP4, receiving a violent blow to his left foot. X-rays were taken, which did not show any fractures, but his presence in the race in Spain was still in doubt.
Iannone went to the medical center at the circuit this morning at 9:00 for further assessments, and the doctors decided that he won't be able to race with the injury he sustained.
A day of tests is scheduled in Jerez for tomorrow, and there’s a risk that Andrea will not take part in those either.
