MotoGP: Vinales, teacher for future riders in Qatar

Maverick Vinales spent his Easter holiday on the Losail circuit, in a teaching role. The Yamaha rider has, in fact, begun his collaboration with the Qatar Motorsports Academy, which aims to develop new talents and lead them to the World Championship.

The Spanish rider fits comfortably in his new role and will continue to work together with the Academy in Qatar in the future.

"I really like working with young riders," said Vinales. "I sponsor a junior team in the Spanish Championship.  I enjoyed my first encounter with the kids in the Academy. It's great to see their enthusiasm and interest. And I have to say that I'm surprised by the organizational structure  and the facilities made available to these kids. The fact of being associated with the Qatar Motorsports Academy will give them visibility and arouse curiosity regarding the project and what is happening in that part of the world, theoretically so far from the 'traditional' world of racing. The commitment the Losail Circuit Sports Club has with MotoGP and two-wheel sports in general is impressive."

Khalid Al Remaihi, vice president of the Losail Circuit Sports Club, added: "We are delighted to welcome Maverick to our project. We are sure that his commitment to the Academy will encourage and motivate our young riders and promote its international exposure."
