SBK, Bautista and the Panigale V4 on the attack at Imola

UPDATE - First exit for the Spaniard at the Italian track, his first impressions are positive: “Much easier than Portimao”

SBK: Bautista and the Panigale V4 on the attack at Imola

He had never been out on the Imola track until today. Alvaro Bautista and Ducati, together with Chaz Davies, made the most of today then, carrying out a test session ahead of the next championship round, set to take place from 10 to 12 May.

There was a lot of interest this morning, particularly on the part of the public, who were able to take advantage of free entry to the central grandstand from 9am. Chaz and Alvaro got to work at 10.30, the testing set to continue all day. Once the track sessions conclude, fans will be able to meet the Aruba riders in the paddock for photos and autographs.

Part way through the day, Bautista stated that he was very pleased with his sensations, defining Imola a much easier track than Portiamo. The Spaniard and the Welshman have tested some new chassis elements that may well be used in upcoming rounds. Live timing has not been made available at this test.
