For the Austin GP, Valentino Rossi will have to do without Bernard Ansiau, one of his long-time mechanics. The Belgian was caught up in a banal accident on Wednesday while building the garage at the Texan circuit, but the consequences have been more serious.

Ansiau sustained deep cuts to three fingers on one of his hands and has undergone surgery in the United States. Bernard will have to rest up for a few days but will return to work alongside the Doctor in the Yamaha garage at Jerez.
