MotoGP, Andrea Dovizioso closes in on Mick Doohan

Andrea Dovizioso’s third place in Argentina was the 94th time he has stood on the podium in Grand Prix racing, one less than five-time World Champion Mick Doohan who stands in 12th place on the list of riders with most podium finishes.

In addition, it was Andrea Dovizioso’s 53rd podium finish in the premier class, one less than Randy Mamola and four less than Max Biaggi, who stands in 10th place in the list of riders with most podium finishes in the class.

Andrea Dovizioso now equals Loris Capirossi in third place in the list of riders with most third-place finishes in Grand Prix racing, behind Valentino Rossi (52) and Dani Pedrosa (47).
