Following the fire at Jerez that destroyed all the bikes and material prepared for the start of the MotoE World Cup, Dorna has today announced the new calendar.

The championship will comprise six races spread across 4 Grand Prix, beginning in July in Germany, at the Sachsenring, before moving on to the Red Bull Ring in August. While the first two events involve just one race, Misano (in September) and Valencia (for the November finale) will stage two each.

As we've said, the time needed to replace the material has meant the cancellation of the Jerez and Le Mans rounds, both originally planned for May.

As for the cause of the fire, an investigation is still in progress.

THE MOTOE CALENDAR

Race 1: 5-7 July - Sachsenring, Germany
Race 2: 9-11 August - Red Bull Ring - Spielberg, Austria
Races 3 & 4: 13-15 September - Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, San Marino and Riviera di Rimini
Races 5 & 6 - 15-17 November - Circuito Ricardo Tormo, Valencia
