Marc Marquez's condition continues to improve, and today is likely to be a very important day. In fact, the Spaniard seems to have recovered a good part of his physical condition, and the fifth place he grabbed today can only be a positive sign for him and for Honda.

I'm happy today. Yesterday, the tests didn't start out too good,” he stated. “Instead, I did lots of laps today, feeling better physically and riding the way I wanted, and this is important. Even the bike has taken several steps forward. In  terms of pace, we've approached our best, although this has never been a favorable circuit for us.”

Marc goes into detail about the work carried out, including the innovations brought to the track.

First of all, we focused on the distribution, improving it a lot. I've reached a certain confidence that has allowed me to start trying some new things. We worked mainly on aerodynamics,”  he said.  “Primarily with a new fairing and new wings.  I had already tried some things in Sepang, but there I couldn't ride as I usually do. Instead, I began to feel like myself again today.”

As an aside, n.93 expresses his opinion on the new form of penalties planned for next season.

I think it's a good idea, since giving up a position can be easy if you're in a group, less so if you're alone. This way, everyone will lose the same amount of time if they have to pay a penalty. There are some risks involved but, in the end, we’re racing motorcycles, so there's always a risk.

In conclusion, the current world champion gives us a taste of what he intends to accomplish tomorrow.

Let's see how my body will face the long run. When I got up this morning, I was in less pain than yesterday. We'll know tomorrow if the situation will improve some more or not. I don't think I'll cover the entire race distance, but I’ll do at least half.”
