First Jorge Lorenzo, and now Marc Marquez is making use of the winter break to sort his physical problems. The Spanish champion has undergone surgery on his left shoulder, which had been causing him problems in recent months.

The surgery was complex, carried out at the Ospedale Universitario Dexeus in Barcelona by Doctor Xavier Mir, Doctor Victor Marlet and Doctor Teresa Marlet, all members of the Catalan Institute of Traumatology and Sports Medicine.

The operation was carried out successfully and Marquez will be discharged in the next 48 hours, depending on his recovery. Next week he will start a rehabilitation programme that will continue for a month and a half, after which he will be able to resume normal training in preparation for the Sepang test in early February.
