Not seeing him in the saddle would have been a great pity, but instead, Dani Pedrosa will stay in the World Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing  environment. In fact, the Spaniard signed a two-year contract with KTM to become a new test rider.

He will not be the only one for the Austrian manufacturer, since the Spaniard will be working alongside Finn Mika Kallio. Dani's signing therefore confirms the ambitions of the team which will have new entry Johann Zarco on the grid in 2019 along with Pol Espargarò.

Pit Beirer is rather pleased: “We are obviously excited to be able to announce the arrival of Dani Pedrosa – the Austrian manufacturer's manager said – He is a rider with great experience in World Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing and his maturity, combined with Kallio's, will allow KTM to grow even more. As we all know, in MotoGP it is the details that make the difference. There is constant evolution, so we could not afford not to be prepared.”
