Yamaha is too used to winning, when you don't win for a while it becomes a disaster, but I don't think it is”. Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi spoke to Sky Sport, indirectly replying to Lin Jarvis who has raised the subject of changing the regulation, introducing the possibility to develop engines also throughout the course of the season.

Logically, the Italian company, have recently got themselves out of a bigger crisis, are not exactly in agreement.

Say what you want, but this regulation was created also in order to contain costs - he continues - I don't think Yamaha is really in difficulty, they have a good bike and small problems that they will resolve thanks to their experience and their riders”.

The same path that the Borgo Panigale technicians followed.

You have to believe in your own strength, in the company. Trying to change the regulation when in crisis doesn't seem like Yamaha behaviour to me. What irritates me is this trying to change the rules because they're struggling”.
