Magny-Cours marked Jordi Torres' last appearance on the MV Agusta. Today, the team has confirmed the separation, a decision made in agreement with the Spanish rider, who will be riding the team Avintia Ducati in this weekend's GP at Buriram.

“In view of the fact that Jordi Torres will replace Rabat on the Team Avintia Ducati in Thailand and perhaps Japan too, the team and rider have taken the mutual decision to conclude their collaboration ahead of time, considering the long trips and time differences that the rider would have to deal with, in order to give Jordi the chance to concentrate on his MotoGP commitments. The team thanks Jordi for his great professionalism and commitment demonstrated and wishes him all the best in his racing career”.

This was the content of the team's press release, a little over a week ahead of the Argentinian SBK round. It remains to be seen who will replace Torres.
