Team Snipers has selected Xavi Cardelus as its rider for the final races of 2018. The Italian team, after splitting with Romano Fenati following the Misano debacle, has decided to put its faith in the Spaniard rider for the remaining races, official confirmation expected shortly.
Xavi, who debuted in the CEV in 2015, competed in several Supersport races with the MV Agusta and the Yamaha last season, scoring points on the Italian bike at Jerez (13th) and with the Japanese bike at Losail (14th).
This season, on the other hand, he has raced in the Moto2 championship with team Stylobike, competing at Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Sachsenring, Red Bull Ring and Misano but without reaching the points zone.
Cardelus will ride the team Snipers' Kalex for the first time at Aragon, the intention being that he continues for the rest of the season.
