MotoGP: Dall'Igna: the aim is to win more GPs than Honda

The Brno double hasn't quenched Gigi Dall'Igna's thirst for victory, and while Dovizioso and Lorenzo work to close the gap to Marquez and his Honda, the engineer's goal is to win as many races as possible.

“Dovizioso also said that we still have work to do. And it's only right that a rider pushes the technicians to improve further, it's an approach I agree with – explains the Ducati Corse boss - I'm on the same lines as Andrea. We're pleased with the result but cannot stop here. Honda was right behind us after all. With Jorge and Dovi we'll aim to win as many races as possible. To win more races than the man who'll win the championship? It would be very satisfying".

There is one regret though... knowing that this pairing will not be together next season.

"it's definitely a pity. But, as ever, I believe we'll be just as strong, even without Lorenzo – confirms the Italian engineer, who adds - Many factors led us to this situation, it's not easy to list them. The financial aspect was of course important. But there was no problem in terms of racing management. Having two strong riders is always better for a team that wants to win the title. There are pros and cons, of course, but the stronger the riders the better it is for the team. As for the Czech Republic, I'd give Dovi an A+ and Lorenzo an A. Both completed a fantastic race. Dovizioso gets the additional plus for two reasons: the first is because he won and the second because he took pole. The result may have a significant psychological effect. I could see he was very determined, something that is fundamental for a rider".
