Kevin Schwantz will take part in the Suzuka 8 Hours, not as a rider but as team manager. The Texan champion will head up Team Kagayama Suzuki during the classic endurance. The team will field Yukio Kagayama (who is also team owner), Joe Roberts (a Moto2 rider) and Naomichi Uramoto (who competed in the Spanish Superstock series), on board the GSX-R.

It's not the first time that Kevin will wear the Japanese colours, as in 2013 he raced with Yukio's team and in 2015 he put the Suzuki on the podium at the 8 Hours with the same team.
